Arthur and Fredrica are good sources of damage too, right? From my experience, EOU Highlander just cribs off of elemental damage with Spear Assist after setting up with Bloody Offense. You know what's a dick move? The game immediately throws you into battle when you open the door. And in every other game, just opening the door puts you in front of the boss but gives you a chance to leave.

In every other game, the introduction of an FOE is a terrible and foreboding thing, with the characters involved dreading running into such a creature. Here, Arianna's just like "Cool. Who's up for deer steaks?" Arianna is a good character.

Giant eyeball monsters never fail to creep me out.  Serious question, though: Has anyone ever decided to not help out the animals in these events just to see what happened? I remember there was something like this in EO4 with one of those Fanged Vine enemies, too, but I always chose to help out.
