Twain of Pain posted:I just started using Paprika which seems to work pretty well. Not sure if it's worth $5 but it hasn't been a bad use of Google funbux. It's also recommended by The Wirecutter who generally seem to know their stuff. I know the dev for Paprika used to post here a couple of years ago. I liked the app well enough but it had some weird Android quirks. Edit: And it hasn't been updated in a long time. Updated January 4, 2015

There was a fairly large update to G+ over the past few weeks that's had some non Play Store stuff pushed at the back end too. I wouldn't uninstall updates but I would clear it's data and cache.

The traffic ones aren't addresses and the mobile Maps app doesn't like vague cross roads. I'd wager that the weird formatting on the last two prevents the algorithm from seeing the address listed. For shits and giggles I pasted the last two in a standard Google & Maps search and they can't really figure it out either Maker Of Shoes fucked around with this message at 17:59 on Dec 30, 2015 |

Teeter posted:It used to be built in to Maps, where you could just flip the Latitude thing on and select people would see your location on their map. I suppose the Facebook app is the best option because it's cross-platform and nearly everyone has it, I'm mostly just upset that it's another feature that Google appears to have switched around and abandoned altogether. Google has been doing that for over a decade. And I can't really fault them for this specific change. Friend location is a very social thing. Why did they have a social thing in a utility app to begin with?

Putting my family on a Music/Red plan was easily the most successful Christmas gift I gave out this year. Kid watches a ton of YouTube, fiance listens to a ton of music at school and at the odd times a fire up a YouTube link it's super nice to never have to see an ad. Beyond worth it.
