Had to double check this wasn't the d3 thread.

Torchlight 2 is boring. I've tried to beat the campaign a couple times but I never make it more than a couple hours. And I love action RPGs.

I've bought a couple games on epic that were cheaper than steam with epics coupons. But yeah mostly the free stuff. I figure I already have another (five) launcher(s) with games so I don't really care much where they come from anymore.

That requires a paid subscription. Epic store does not. This is free free my man. I already bought it for PC in the last year because I thought around 20 bucks was as low as it would get. Silly me.

Ironcast was fun, I played it ages ago on Steam. It's more like Puzzle Quest and has a strategy/character building element. It can be super frustrating though unless they did a balance pass.

Never managed to win with anything other than the default load out tbh.

Played a couple hours of it last night, I like it so far. It's a weird mix of match 3/mech/rpg/roguelike but it scratches an itch for me.

For the last four years, every time I started looking up prices for a new desktop, some disaster struck. The ten year old i5-2500K still keeps me going, thankfully. I finally upgraded from the 2500k last year. Ten year old thing was the GOAT. Gave it and some other old parts away to a goon building a PC for their niece. :3: I hope it is still going strong.

Mini free game review: I decided to try Loop Hero knowing nothing about it the other day. It was an Epic freebie near the holidays I think. Now, I cannot stop playing it. It basically plays itself and you pause it to do actions. It's an 8 bit looking roguelite (I think this is correct terminology, runs with progression of power between runs that builds) with a card deck and city building and upgrading aspect (power/progression building). It's incredibly good and if you're into roguewhatever games, give it a shot. There's multiple classes and so much stuff to discover in it. I don't know what the gently caress I'm doing but having a blast. I'm considering buying for switch for on the go grinding because it rules.

This is the free games thread. I usually get games way after they come out on deep sales so the bangers from then I probably didn't get to until later. I bought Titanfall 2 for 5 dollars. Doom for less than 20 probably. Dying light is fun, man. I don't remember what else I was playing then but remember thinking it was in the top 3 easily.
