Any idea how well this game runs yet? I'll be playing with a GPU very slightly under the minimum requirements and have been anxious as to how that might look

This game is very cool and good. Something really needs to be done about the geoscape though, there's no reason it should be dropping me to 20 FPS when I can run everything else at 40.

I dunno why people are complaining that the mission timers are some sort of odd and unexpected thing. You're waging a guerrilla war against a foe massively more powerful than you and one of the chief aspects of asymmetric warfare is getting in with a surprise, completing your objective, and leaving before the enemy can bring its massively superior forces to bear. The reason you could be so cautious in EU was because the aliens were purposely holding back/it was all a simulation

On my last run I had a dedicated anti-robot specialist that loving murdered anything that was mechanized including sectopods with bluescreen rounds, EMP grenades, and gremlin burst

Turns out the best way to do a black site mission is to hack a sectopod on your first turn and gain access to the x4 chamber by repeatedly walking it through walls

Also I just got around to playing the DLC and it pleases me greatly that the Alien Hunters intro mission is very obviously designed to let Bradford go loving nuts on aliens with his Hanzo Steel

Is there a reason I can't do a Sectopod autopsy even though I've killed 2 When I first encountered one it was in the midst of a fight with the first Avatar on the Advent Factory mission and the pod pull cutscene was interrupted by a cutscene showing me the facility so I get the feeling something hosed it up and now I can't get level 3 gremlins

Master Lancer. He doesn't have much health but he has high dodge and runs around in your squad hitting you every action

It's immune to dot effects but you will still want acid bombs if you had them for tearing through its armor I dunno what to do about AP rounds.

Having only watched his youtube videos I watched Beagle's stream the last couple of days and noticed a couple of things 1) He seems to play far more cautiously then the game is designed for, but I guess that's part of playing on Legendary. He seems to instinctively want to overwatch crawl so I can understand why he detests the timers. I lol'd IRL when his instinct when faced with a lost swarm was to try and box strat in a nearby building. 2) He looks like a bearded sectoid and is a massive gun nut and it is very endearing how he treats his soldiers like real people and screams at them in tense situations

I normally play on Veteran difficulty without Ironman so that I can reload if my campaign gets imploded. This has become too easy and I want to make the game more challenging without it getting into turbo gently caress you mode. Which would be the next step up in difficulty; Veteran Ironman or Commander?

So I was doing a defend the device guerilla op that was rated very hard and had a savage sitrep. As soon as I dropped in a berserker went loving nuts and killed all the other pods while I just sat there and overwatch camped There was also a Chosen encounter but the Hunter just sat there and the berserker went and killed him too. Didn't even take any tracking shots at me Is this something that's known to happen because it was hilarious
