this morning when i went to get coffee, there was one pot that was empty, and another that was just being started. this is not a scenario that should be happening, and it made me sad. i had to go down to 5th floor to get coffee.

I've been doing his aeropress method of uhhh 11g coffee/200g water, 2 minutes, swirl, 30 seconds, press and it's good and easy. just taking the time to be consistent with it is a huge improvement over my previous "oops I let it sit there for 10 minutes" or "well it's been long enough [it's been 20 seconds]"

I also have both and use the aeropress way more because it's easier to clean, faster to brew, and makes one cup at a time. French press only ever comes out when we've got company or something.

it still grinds a good bean. i hit the inside with some sandpaper and a wirewheel (and it probably needs a little more cleaning and ...sharpening?) but i'm leaving the outside as is after dusting and cleaning it.
