Federal Liberals can't balance a budget to help themselves. Morrison is toothless as treasurer as Turnbull wants to be the one pulling the levers, even to the point of changing the night of the budget. Turnbull is too busy pandering to the right wing of his party to notice that the majority of Australians do not share their views. And soon we'll have an election, hopefully Abbott won't heed the advice he has been given by ex-Liberals and does do his "Caravan of Courage" tour.

A Good Username posted:They had to move up the budget announcement to leave room for a double dissolution. Yes, but Turnbull didn't tell Morrison that. Morrison had repeatedly told the media that the Budget Night would not be changed

To quote Pop Will Eat Itself's Ich Bin Ein Auslander: Welcome to a state, where the politics of hate Shout loud in the crowd, watch them beat us all down There's a rising tide on the rivers of blood But if the answer isn't violence, neither is your silence Strange how lyrics that covered 1980s Britain fit in so well in our current climate.

The Lord Bude posted:I must confess to having paid very little attention to state politics outside of Queensland. If Turdball loses a double D I assume we can expect him to quit politics in disgrace? or at least go and hide in the backbenches? It will be very entertaining to see what becomes of the liberal leadership afterwards.

There's no way in the cold recesses of hell that Bronwyn has a chance, she has burnt the gently caress out of the NSW Lib Right with supporting Turnbull over Abbott for PM

Negligent posted:It's hard to believe how lovely Malcolm Turnbull is at coming up with a clear message Turnbull was hesitant and unsure of his message last night on 730, especially when Leigh asked him what the other 20 odd million are supposed to do when he's trying to convince the 1-2 million investors that he isn't going to do something about negative gearing. You could see part of Turnbull's brain wanted to go to slogan territory, but he kept on screwing that up

That shot of a sad little Pyne riding hopefully on Turnbull's coattails as he announced the French deal says it all. Yes subs are being built in Adelaide, and the bulk of the money is flying off overseas, again. A fact not lost on his constituents.
