r/eve is pretty horrible in all regards, there's the occasional goodpost there, but the poo poo you have to wade through to find those gems is often not worth it; however, playing EVE for either side makes you objectively biased to the other side automatically- no amount of hurfing and/or blurfing from ~the enemy~ is going to make you unbelieve what you spent a soul-crushing amount of time doing- despite that, both sites are circlejerks for their respective 'side' to the non-player and trying to convince them (or the opposition) that it's not is just an exercise in futility.

That being said, I'd rather bathe in Ullerm goodposts here, and tolerate r/eve than ever, ever, ever visit FHC.

You know who this is I'm sure. Well, some of the leaders wanted to shield him and make excuses for him (and even try to sneak him back in to the guild). That caused the AA guild leader to step down from all the drama. He put one of his friends in power, who almost immediately stopped playing due to family issues. At this point, we had no guild leader since the person who was the actual guild leader stopped playing. This left the officers, of which Kimsemus, Gicer, DBRB, and multiple other people were a part of. Some officers (like DBRB) wanted to ally everyone in the ocean that was fishing in a 'fishing pact.' Other officers wanted to pirate people, since the ocean is an open PvP zone.

Since there was no guild leader to make a decision, it was just a bunch of people screaming at each other about what we were actually doing. Kimsemus continued pirating people on the ocean, pissing off the fishing pact folks, who then got him blacklisted.

So in an EVE context, Kim got the boot because he'd rather slay nerds than rat/fish in peace.

I keep seeing that in this thread, but I'm wondering what that actually means

You actually have to use your space to keep ADMs (active defense multipliers) high, afaik every ADM level adds an additional 10 minutes to the capture timer.

This means the 'Good Guys' would have to rat, mine and use their space instead of just setting up a shanty town and waiting to see what the CFC/Imperium reaction will be. Honestly, I think it's pretty foolhardy to think that the invaders are looking to setup a permanent shop there, and instead they will just install groups that always wanted space, but couldn't take it or just let the people that want it move in. Honestly, a nullsec full of random groups of people all fighting their little tribal wars is a lot more fun than one coalition owning 'the galactic north'. Maybe this shake up will be the kick in the rear end CCP needs to 'fix' otherwise underwhelming nullsec income.

The worst case scenario and the best case scenario both involve Goons losing all their space.

Siets posted:

-TEST and other groups do not have SRP. In the long-run, their wallets will wear down and their fleet numbers will decrease. Unless TEST changes their culture from "lolbertarian bootstraps!" to a similar socialist SRP program to match our game, they simply will lose in the long run (as they have in the past.)

I don't expect many of you to agree with me on this- but honestly, flying in groups without SRP makes people gently caress up less and overall contributes to a better EVE experience.
