i played dark souls 2 + dlc and i enjoyed it.

I was doing some invading/summoning in BB last weekend and was struck by the fact that the game cuts to black when you do online stuff. Not a very common technique in video games

also the fat official gals with heat-seeking spiked clubs and the pyromancy "bear hug" have some of the coolest sound design in a souls monster.

madman invading the skeleton land with the shield-piercing poison spear is the greatest. hitting three shield-up phantoms at once and procing poison is beautiful.

current mad phantom best kill: where i playd cat n mouse with a katana guy around the grand archives, moving elevators up and down just to gently caress with him.

he eventually cornered me in the first shortcut elevator room but drew the attnetion of a knight. i dodge past the knight who starts wailing on the host, who cleverly dodges away. into an elevator shaft which i had opened up like ten minutes earlier. gg

i just found this out by accident: if you spend a lot of time in patches shop menu then leave without buying something he says a different line than usual after you leave. its funny. i dont know how long you have to spend in there cos i left it there for like 15 minutes while i did something else
