Michael is pissed the new boss cancelled his anniversary party (among many other things) so he goes to David Wallace about it. Wallace offers to throw him a new party and Michael, angry that he's being placated instead of actually listened to, stands up, shakes Wallace's hand and says "I quit." Cut to credits. Had he said "I acquit" the scene still could have worked in spite of it being terrible writing.

Yeah that's not unusual at all. I worked for a startup that was back by basically a German VC; my company acquired another company (part of what we were founded to do), and less than 10 months after my company started, the VC decided they weren't thrilled with the ROI and shut down both companies. It's really lovely but when you have that much money, a couple million is a drop in the bucket.

Really enjoyed all three seasons so far. I thought I wasn't enjoying season 1 too much until about 3 episodes in but since then it's been consistently one of the best comedies of recent years.
