Shoulder Laser, Vortex Shield and alternate fire (ADS fire) on Splitter Rifle drains energy, hipfiring however does not. In the tech test I rarely used the alternate fire in Titan fights, mostly used Laser shots and in between charges dumped with primary fire. Laser shots for pilots too, the alternate fire is good against pilots but drains too much energy. It's nothing really too complicated, basically everything comes at a cost to your overall energy.

Don't see anything there, all the footage I've seen that Frothy has posted playing as Ronin, Tone, Scorch, etc has no recharging shields and all the reviews mention a major change from TF1 being "no recharging shields".

Played through the campaign last night since it couldn't matchmake enough people to play a match. Took around 5-6 hours, overall a really solid campaign that does more than a standard fps shooter with platforming puzzles, over the top Metal Gear Solid-esque Boss characters, and a lot of moments that make you feel like a badass, especially one section late in the game. They also introduce a really cool ability that you don't really expect in a few levels early on, but drops it maybe a little too soon. They could have made a whole game based on this ability. also BT-7274 is

8 v 8 modes with Titans are no joke a ton of fun, especially a stacked team of 8 vs some poo poo pubs?  Regular Attrition with tons of AI running with 8v8 would be great but I wonder if that's even possible.

For the most part been using Ion and it's hard to pry myself away from her. You're never supposed to ADS with the splitter rifle as it drains your energy for what is basically it's main weapon, the Laser Shot. Gooser kills are extremely easy with it, whenever I hear an enemy titan going off I watch the skies and I'm sometimes able to even get a pilot from across the map. The hit box for pilots with it is a little generous, although it does feel a bit finer tuned since the tech test. When you run into pilots with your Ion, focus on aiming at them with your laser shot instead of using the splitter rifle, you might score a kill with it here and there but the laser shot is much more deadly when used right. Also lol, yeah trip wire mines are kind of useless as it also takes away energy. also for a good laugh, use the laser core on pilots if there aren't any titans around to use it on.
