Bridge one you need the clawshot, 2nd one I think you have to hang by your hands and shuffle along the ledge, if it's the one I'm thinking of.

(Ed: and the wolf can tightrope-walk, in case you forgot that.)

There's another chest on one end of the bridge over Lake Hylia you have to do that to get to, and maybe one in the Lost Woods too?

But yeah, other than those it's hardly used at all.

Lake Hylia one's in one of the windows of the big bridge tower (chicken guy end not chuchu end). Lost Woods one I'm not sure about; I may be misremembering the one in the ruins there you have to use the spinner to get to. But that series of ruined rooms the Skull Kid leads you to.

Yeah, I'm playing it at the moment (played the GC version previously) and all I'd like to say is gently caress YOU EPONA HEY NINTENDO HORSES COME WITH BUILT-IN COLLISION AVOIDANCE AND DON'T STICK THEMSELVES NOSE-FIRST INTO OBSTACLES.

God I hate that loving horse. I don't know if they actually managed to make her controls worse or I'm just not remembering how godawfuk they were, but any Epona sequence is a real chore.

At least I got to really enjoy leaving her on the other side of a busted bridge with nothing but twilight and enemies who hopefully enjoyed a nice roast horse. Except of course they didn't because she's back for a sequence involving lots of horseback archery. gently caress you Epona.

I'm replaying it ATM, and something I don't often see mentioned is that the enemy AI is pretty neat - if you snipe a bokoblin his buddies nearby often run over to see what happened to him.

Not smart on their part, since they set themselves up for a bomb arrow, but I'm all about easy bokoblin genocide, so....

You can get arrows in Castle Town - one of the Gorons in the empty house on the SW side of the main plaza, next to the cafe, will sell them to you. I think you're SOL on the bombs front at that point though.

They tweaked the control scheme so I tend to find myself just floating there fizzing. It's pretty minor really, but annoying.

SylvainMustach posted:

On that note: does it matter which OOT one plays first?
I'd say go for the 3D one, the graphics are so much nicer and you get Hero Mode. Plus gyro aiming for the bow.

Ditto for MM, even though I bitched - I don't like the swimming tweak and I don't like boss eyeballs, but other than that it's a great improvement and you really don't want to have to deal with the original's save scheme.

BoTW looks like it'll finally give me that experience again, assuming there are "relic" weapons scattered in permanent spots in the over world that never break or at least don't do the flashy shatter and can be repaired for a fee.
Well, there's the Great Fairy's Sword...

The New Day cutscenes over the ending credits vary according to which masks you got (and, I think, how many Great Fairies you rescued) so some at least of Link's Termina timelines have merged.
