This came up in the Transformers thread, apparently official media can't describe Transformers as "transforming" anymore, because "transform" is too generic a term to trademark so using transform as an adjective weakens the trademark on Transformers. Like the way Adobe can't endorse Photoshopping a picture and Band-Aid always has to specify "Band-Aid Brand Medical Adhesives". It's dumb, but that's our trademark system.
