I've still not logged in since the wipe. My lot selection comes up in a week. Where are goons placing their houses?

Edit: I read the thread.. looks like Estguard is the place. Hopefully I can get a row lot there!

Is there enough demand for a guild though? I mean, I could find a bigger one that would be willing to merge but 25,000 gold is a lot to drop so people can find each other on a roster.

It's more about the title really.

However if you're trying to do that in Estgard the bug is already known and actually affects all crafting (always fails but never consumes materials). It's a scene specific issue though so for the interim just craft in any other town nearby that you prefer.

Does it still result in skill gain?

Edit: nope :(

Goddamnit, my house in Estgard is facing a wall instead of the street it is on. It looks goofy as hell.

Since the amulet method doesn't seem to work I guess I'll head back to highvale tomorrow and see if I can find those papers.

Thankfully someone opened the doors, so I can log out in this sweet row house :D

Has anyone seen somewhere near Estgard that sells weapons? I've found recipes and armour but no swords :(

I'd like to avoid walking to Ardoris or somewhere else on the other side of the map if possible.

Being a town thief in Ultima Online was the greatest few years of gaming in my entire life. No question. My greatest haul was some idiot that put two house deeds and a boat inside a bag. I keep the pants I poo poo myself in displayed on a wall to show my pride. (house deeds and boats cost a lot of gold and weighed only one stone, so they were easy to steal, and you cannot steal them in someones base inventory. they had to have someone stupid enough to put them in a bag, because then you could steal the bag.)

Unfortunately you're only allowed to pickpocket in PvP areas, and only gold at that. I hope that is expanded on in a much later release, like stealing Gold Crowns of the Obsidians or things that are actually valuable.

Absolutely, I played on player run shards quite a bit, this was back before the server emulators supported lock downs in houses. At its best I'd steal house keys and loot a house dry. Also stealing peoples weapons when they tried to attack you was hilarious.

If you good folks feel I made a bad call and that Estgard was a bad land investment then we need to consider other towns ASAP before the first deed lottery finishes.

This would mean either going to a very unpopular (probably for a reason) NPC town or relocating to a PRT. Or we could just scatter to the winds or something but that's less fun.

Thoughts?

Stay for now I think. I mean yeah it looked better in R32, some vendors have vanished, the doors are broken.... But it'll get fixed :D

Name restrictions apply to both in-game, forums, and chat areas that are under moderation by Portalarium. All names must be within the spirit of the game world and must not suggest or directly include any of the following topics:
  • Advertisements
  • Religious ideologies
  • Famous persons
  • Pornographic/Sexual references
  • Portalarium staff
  • Racial slurs
  • Illegal activities
  • Threats and real world violence
  • Pledge titles

So I need a name that fits within the spirit of the game!

So basically stay a million miles away from any project that has "MMO" anywhere in it.

...not that SotA did in it's original campaign though. I remember the whole "this won't be an MMO but it will be a multiplayer game if you want!" thing and some people on their forum still believe that to this day and claim it's not an MMO.

I wish it hadn't been an MMO :( I also wish I'd given my money to shards online, that game is looking sweet
