I think imgur also deletes images that aren't viewed after 1-3 months? Even worse, their ToS supposedly prohibits linking direct to images, which when you talk about a stream or something for random fanart isn't too bad, but obviously 40-100 images getting hit with each post by each view would probably get nailed fast.

I too look forward to this. Minor things that I'd see as room for improvement would be to make non-game pictures the same width as the game screens (like Carbuncle). Also, there is some other thing to improve, but I can't really articulate it well. Earlier on you do images side by side in lieu of gifs (the egg chop and the Kaiser Dragon's attacks) then later with Kraken its stacked. So if making gifs is possible I'd hope to see them, but not to go too far out of your way to.

The only thing I can say is maybe polsy that youtube link. The suggested videos were just more Dragon Quarter OST and a couple other OSTs, but there's always the risk of something else coming up.

Definitely what TooMuchAbstraction said about ambitiousness. I did a VLP of my favorite game and did a lot of editing in post. Be very careful about burning out not just your will to lp, but your appreciation of the game. However I would still say do video and screenshot off of that. Even a turnbased game could always have the blink and you miss it obligatory-must-show-in-thread 420/ 69 / 8008 number pop up and then vanish by the time you hit the shoulder button or whatever you map screenshot to. Practical test. If you do the Four Job Fiesta every year, and if you aren't carefully watching Shinryu's HP good luck taking a picture of the dying frame.

Like you the favorite video I made was the post-credit video since I didn't want to speak over the credits of Vagrant Story. If we're going mainline videos I'd say This Way To the Egress, where I talked about how if you overlayed area maps you'd see some interesting interplay that was never in the game but makes sense between the game and history.

Baldurk and the lparchive is probably one of the few things that keeps this place relevant. If he would be fine with using his hardware and data offsite it would be a big step in enabling an exodus. But yeah, the infinite scrolling I was bundling in with the criminal UI. I think I only ever opened on thread, but just looking at the main forums gives you enough indication of something fundamentally wrong.

See how this thread is 95 pages long and how it sort of ~16 pagedown presses from bottom to top? That's not a thing at lpzone, one unending page that you reach the bottom and it loads more. And this is 16 "pages" of short texts, not an SSLP where you're talking 16 "pages" per update.

So my stance on this is simple. lowtax got my money, every time I f5 is costing him. I recognize and respect everyone who is saying enough is enough. Especially people like TDI saying its done who lets be damned honest is the reason a lot of us bought accounts. He goes so do any others who would be trying to peer past the vale of the paywall. So I stay, sitting, not contributing anything of value draw traffic to the site, watching and hoping things either improve or the LPzone2.0 or whatever shows up. Also to watch and see if the 2 or 3 SSLPs I follow that haven't yet made statements do so.

I've used gooncam and that's usually good enough it seems. There was a time a month or so ago where it decided to just implode and I can't remember what I did to bring it back since it somehow had a complete brainfart despite deleting and redownloading a fresh set of files. Then gimp to try and manhandle it into an lpix sized end product. But if there's a currently supported option and no ties to habit I'd go with screentogif

I've been doing the "go to history and select the things I want" method for my current lp, however when I upload them not everything is 1:1, so randomly lpix assigns say, the images are assigned 4201033, 4201034, and 4201035, etc, etc. when I'm uploading image8, image9, image10,etc Now usually 4201033 would be going with image8 and so on, but sometimes image 10 skips ahead. Anyone have a way around that? I currently copy the list of uploads into a spreadsheet, delimit by "/", sort by image number then dump that into notepad++, cntl-f replace every tab with / and that's the workflow. Not bad but dumb.

Squenix launched a wave of channel strikes about 2 months ago ahead of deploying their own Youtube Soundtrack channel. Said channel has the OSTS 100% in Japanese and seemingly no inclination to localize them. I don't think anything has been saved officially, I know some people made personal backups. I've had luck with archive.org backing up some videos which was a great help when I go through a playlist and am plagued by the "hidden unavailable videos" taunt on the top that doesn't tell me what it was before it was nuked.
