Sorry but no, UK xenophobia is to do with a 20 year campaign against the EU and absolutely nothing to do with the migrant crisis. At most it mildly irritated parts of Dover that were already racist as gently caress.

In Alabama I think the statistic was that there was not a single place to get a valid voter ID in any county that had a 75% nonwhite population or over, at all. It was a direct and obvious attempt to disenfranchise minority voters by making sure they were not able to meet the requirements, and that behaviour is normal in many southern US states. The practice of closing DMVs and other places to get voter ID in minority communities and counties correlates exactly with the introduction of voter ID.
