Han Solo got the name Han Solo because he originally was named "Hans YOLO" but didn't want people to think he was an out-of-touch German man trying to be hip to the internet youths of 5 years ago.

Hemingway To Go! posted:I'm surprised they haven't retired plinkett. So many people have ripped him off and now that nerdy things are popular on youtube you have less of the "only a basement dweller would review them" kind of stigma. Nerd Crew is more accurate. Plinkett wasn't meant to be a parody of movie review nerds, he was just a goofy, funny character that Mike came up with since he realized that without a gimmick no one would listen to him talk in detail about Star Track for 40 minutes.

Gammatron 64 posted:Like seriously Hollywood quit it with the remakes goddamn. There's been hundreds of remakes over the years and I'd be hard pressed to name 10 of them that were actually worth watching and weren't immediately forgotten. I would consider Magnificent Seven and Fistful of Dollars to be more adaptations than remakes. Also Star Wars was in no way a remake of anything Kurosawa made. It borrowed a lot of his imagery but it borrowed more from other sources; it was never trying to be any of his movies. And to add to the list, Ocean's 11. Which is also allegedly getting another remake.

Mulaney Power Move posted:The first ones were the Star Trek TNG movies in order from Generations to Nemesis, then Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. From there I think it's Baby's Day Out, Revenge of the Sith and then I really forget the order of all the rest. I can't remember if Cop Dog was before or after Revenge of the Sith. I completely forget when the Avatar one was. Star Trek the Star Trek was between Baby's Day Out and Revenge of the Sith. After Sith was Cop-Dog, then Crystal Skull, then Titanic and then several years before Force Awakens.
