WILLOWS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY. GOODNIGHT.

The way willows work is they appear big and strong until one day the suddenly crack in half and you realize that the core had been rotting for years. Take whatever lesson you want from that.

dem strategy is flawless

On the other hand, the Republican strategy of hauling the Pelosi boogy(wo)man out every time they get in trouble seems to be the gift that keeps on giving. Dems deserve this for having a leadership team dominated by octogenarians

so democrats should or should not raise a lot money from small donors, i'm confused

I agree with this, but I ask because one of the arguments being made now is that the NRCC ran a bunch of ads against Ossoff (and Thompson and Quist) about a vote for them being a vote for Pelosi to bring her radical socialist jihad upon America. Some are saying that ditching her removes that problem, assuming you can get a less well-known villain to fill her shoes.

I have my doubts about this because I think the Republicans are just going to label any Democrat as the second coming of Mao, but I'm curious what others think.

You're right that the Republicans in concert with the entire ecosystem of talk radio, Fox News, and the entire conservative media will make any Democrat seem like an assault on apple pie, puppies and all that is decent. But I'm at a loss to explain what Nancy Pelosi actually stands for, other than she's good at raising money from the donor class.

How about someone who can say something without running it by a focus group and who is younger than 75?

That has been the Clinton's strategy for the last quarter century.
