I'm fascinated either way. Option A: Merc goes for an equally good driver and... poaches someone else off a contract? Lewis hates them and complains constantly. Option B: Merc goes for an explicit 1-2 arrangement and opens the field a little more. Races get more interesting. What an amazing driver Rosberg is, to have such a strong impact on next season.

I'm honestly just torn about this because on the one hand it seems really lame but on the other he did go out on a high point: helping expose Lewis as a complete dickhead I have to suspend my decision-making about who to root for next season until we all figure out who's driving

Right now the tracks are paying through the nose for very little content so you get a limited audience. I would imagine they want to make it into a touring festival with the F1 as the headline act.
