Picked up Arkham ASylum and Arkham CIty on the cheap and getting my kid into it. Man, I played the hell out of these games back when and I'm really having trouble rediscovering the rhythm to the combat. But I'll be damned if they don't still hold up.

My biggest problem with it is the problem I have with a lot of superhero stuff in that it seems genuinely afraid to adopt actual superhero aesthetics so you get basically military-looking stuff, which is extra goofy in a game called Capes.

I was kind of wondering if anything ever came from it. It didn't look as good or as polished as this does. I imagine that if this gains any traction there will be a fairly good sized skin modding community.

I picked up Arkham Asylum and Arkham City on the cheap since I needed a break from SOuls/Elden Ring games and got my kid into them. They still hold up except ASylum was shorter than I remembered.

You could have all the heroes be brightly costumed Silver Age types, to really drive home the contrast between them and the grimy cyberpunk dystopia.

Having watched an LP of the early stuff, it's a serious-ish story but there's moments of levity.
