Ramirez may have yielded, but his surrender cartoon was so lazy that he even recycled the same gag he used in the last Trump cartoon he drew months ago. Also, Michael Ramirez shows no sign of ever learning how to draw a successful Trump caricature. So although we won, editorial cartooning itself has suffered a vicious blow.  I still say the effort was worth it, but now that I see the price of victory, I feel that it might have been best to simply ask Ramirez to quit cartooning altogether and become a greeter at Wal-Mart.
