Has Ramirez ever drawn a caricature of Trump? For some reason I can't remember ever seeing one from him.

Plan Z posted:One of the compliments I could give Ramirez is that he's consistent. I often get the feeling that guys like Garrison aren't as deep in the pit as they actually want you to believe and are cashing in on political movements, but I think Ramirez has beliefs and specifically voices them, whatever they may be. I know I asked before but has he actually made a cartoon featuring a caricature of Trump yet? I feel like he was looking forward to at least four years of drawing Hillary again and getting to sidestep the issue of Trump entirely but I don't know how much longer he can put it off.

Formal actions that actually limit the reach of demagogues like him help; punching him may feel incredibly good, but it's ultimately counterproductive. It's letting him pull the "so dumb and crazy" move, and that, sadly, works. I disagree, any Nazi that feels comfortable enough to do an interview on the street deserves to be made to feel unsafe.

Why choose an insult that equivocates your opposition with a group you've shown a high degree of acceptance towards? They couldn't get away with claiming the alt-right was made up by liberals anymore so they resorted to saying "Oh yeah? Well you're alt-left and just as bad!"

If you'd have asked me around the time I started following it if right wing political cartoonists would someday freely admit that it's unusually hot outside I'd have laughed in your face. What the gently caress exactly is going on? I'm downright surprised they broke from the narrative to make a slew of "LOL IT HOT" cartoons. The hot new take in conservative circles is "global warming is good, actually."

It's kinda hard to directly compare Hodgkinson with Loughner beyond "They both shot members of congress." Loughner was mostly worried about how people were using language to control people's minds. A better comparison would be Scott Roeder, a man who assassinated an abortion doctor the right wing media and pro-life movement constantly painted as a murderer.
