Should Jon Rosenberg be added to the OP?
He usually just does his webcomic, but, he seemed to have gotten more political in 2016, both on his Scenes From a Multiverse comic and posting more on The Nib

Someone (a few someones) already mentioned it, but: You can't debate the fascists because they aren't beholden to the same rules.

They're appealing to emotion, and emotion does not give a single flying gently caress about logic or truth or reality. You can't out-debate a feeling, especially one that validates/justifies a lovely world view.

It's the same reason Trump won; It doesn't matter that he's completely full of poo poo, he pressed the right buttons to make people feel good about themselves and absolve them of any personal blame, and that outweighed any objective reality.

When they come out and boo hoo about how big mean Obama spent 8 years slapping olive branches out of their hands and refusing to meet them partway on any issue ever, they honestly truly believe that's what happened - and a little something like hours of documented video/audio footage of them repeatedly bragging about blocking him at every turn isn't going to stop them from believing their narrative.

It's been mentioned before, but, every Right-Wing "confronting the Lib'rul with mah big manly gun" fantasy hinges on this idea that just because Liberals believe in gun control that they will all be unarmed and meekly surrender when faced with a real weapon.

It's the same logic they apply in A Christmas Movie anytime Ralphie fantasizes about his BB gun - The bad guys never actually pose any sort of threat, and are quick to flee as soon as they realize he has the coveted rifle, because that's how it works in a child's power fantasy.

During Campaign Trump: "Yay, wikileaks!"

Post Election Trump: "Leaks bad!"

I mean, with anybody else, I would just chalk it up to standard issue hypocrisy.
But, in Trump's case, I think it's that he just doesn't realize HOW Wikileaks gets its leaks.

Like, when he imagines Assange putting together a Leak document, he's picturing one of those big 80's computers while Julian hacks the mainframe interface and going "I'm in." all the time every time - And not having information handed off to him through his other various sources/however the actual process works.
