The lady was just about to reach into the cash register to pull out the $3.95 the calendar was worth, but changed her mind into only giving her store credit after she realized this girl is just a miserable bitch, and she wouldn't be surprised if she was related to that sour rear end in a top hat Kudlick she knew back in college.

To be fair, out of the two comic strips Feuti does, why'd they have to cancel the one that didn't suck?

I actually took the set-up from one strip, the suspects from a second, and the solution from a third, just to make it totally impenetrable. :v:

I thought it was gonna be a thing where since his puffy thing is on his right side that means that the guy is left handed and a bunch of suspects were holding cups and writing with their rights

So Funky Winkerbean and Crankshaft deal with absurd, surrealistic situations like that old bat's lovely cooking being so awful it literally breaks the law of physics and stuff like that.
But then the grim specter of death rears its head and everybody gets awful debilitating diseases or gets all obsessed over a dead spouse to an inappropriate degree.

The current Thimble Theater storyline has had what two weeks of Popeye dying from being shot twenty times
Every day of those two weeks has been the exact same premise and probable joke and it's a retread from a previous storyline

It is still super hilarious and would easily defeat anything on the funnies pages today

I feel like I might have already said this. One thing I really like about Tina's Groove is that you can tell Tina and the blonde one (sorry!) are clearly meant to be attractive but are drawn in a cute way. It's not sexy at all and that's perfect for the comics page. There is a clear contrast between those two and Monica that goes beyond tube socks but zero va-va-voom. I don't know poo poo from character design but I appreciate that.

Monica's drawn like a hag with sad little nubbins for breasts and hairy legs
