My guess is the seemingly ridiculous law is there to prevent things like dads who accidentally kill their daughter because she snuck in the house at 3am (which has happened in the states). Kind of like how it's technically illegal to exit your vehicle on the driver's side which is ridiculous because nobody climbs over to the passenger side to exit. They just have the law there because so many idiots swing their doors open into traffic without looking and the seemingly dopey law protects the person driving from being blamed. Again this is just an assumption. You absolutely should be able to kill someone who breaks into your home. Though I feel like if you instigate a street fight, start to lose, then decide to shoot the person, that can be a tricky slippery slope. But there's no slippery slope with defending your home and family from a degenerate who wants your jewelry. I still get angry thinking about that home invasion that happened near where I live in Connecticut. It's what got me to buy a gun.

I believe in most children left behind schooling. When you stop taking interest in your studies you are immediately moved into the work force. From there you can continue to be a mindless forgotten worker drone or to better yourself by picking up a drat book and learning. You can always test back into school provided you can pass a standardized test within an established age/grade ratio. Or maybe you will do fine as a drop out. Plenty do. Your choice.

Also, climate change apocalyptism should be the ultimate conservative response, but the stringent opposition to industrialization got stripped out of that mindset by WW1 era govt propaganda. Now the whole thing is about how other people act instead of the targeted destruction of the family unit and it's historical ability to build material wealth over time.

Oh here's something. I kinda agree with Trump's shipbuilding plan. Grow the Navy. Though it was originally Romney's plan and Obama went "nah nah it's not 1914 any more." But there's benefits to having a beefy navy. gently caress the Army and the Air Force though. The Marines are jerks but they're small and useful if kept on a tight leash.
