I tried to log into discord during a GDT thread last weekend, but I also use discord for playing Overwatch and so I it wouldn't let me use my forums user name and was forcing me to use my battle.net username, so I just gave up.

I could never get a tattoo. Either my opinion of the tattoo's subject matter would soon change, or it would become associated with something bad shortly thereafter. Like that anecdote about the guy who wanted a tattoo of the name of his favorite band, so he had ISIS tattooed on his arm. Just too much permanence there.

Cake sucks. Cake frosting is overly sweet garbage. Edit: Connecting it back to weddings, my wife an I kept our wedding cake for the first year, as is customary. We pulled it out of the freezer around our one year anniversary, took one look at it, and dumped it in the garbage. What a weird rear end tradition.

My parents split once they realized their marriage was doomed, but before their relationship was unsalvagable. As such they are still friends nearly 20 years later. It made a huge positive difference for me and my sisters.

Yeah. From some many other stories I have heard, it certainly seems like my parents amicable relationship is largely in the minority. While I wouldn't have understood it at the time, I am extremely thankful for the way they handled it in retrospect.

Witcher 3 was my breaking point for open world games. I enjoyed the hell out of it. Then I hit the 100 hour mark and just stopped playing it despite not finishing it. After putting a couple hours in Breath of the Wild I just can't bring myself to pick it up. Now the idea of playing a game like Horizon Dawn does nothing for me. Maybe time will change it, but right now I am just done with open world games.

Isn't NBA2K the game where you have to do a bunch of off the court poo poo as well? Like going to practice and playing dress up with your bball player? So if injuries are turned on, do you have to do rehab as well. Or does immersion finally become tedium at some point.
