They didn't think he'd try to wipe it all out in one fell swoop without an alternative plan. That makes them idiotic rubes, not maliciously self-destructive psychopaths. This has always been a country of rubes and con men, and you can't blame people for their gross ignorance when the system is built up to keep them that way. "Wow, Hitler really betrayed the german people" is what many of them walked away from WWII with, if they weren't executed or avoided starvation. I don't have much hope for the fools this time.

News coverage needs to stop with the interviews with old white retirees in diners and asking MAGA chuds what Trump could possibly do to lose their support and just start turning into this thread, where we bring up more and more humiliating (hypothetical) situations where Trump would destroy their lives completely and then get them to admit they would take it like a bitch and still vote for him. Would Trump lose your support if his tariffs create a trade war that results in you losing your job? Would you still support Trump if he cut the social programs you depend on and your family died of starvation? Would you still support Trump if your spouse was abducted by ICE agents for ordering at Chipolte and you never heard from or saw them again? Would Trump lose your support if he confused diabetes with some drug addiction and made insulin illegal to produce or sell? Would Trump lose your support if your daughter died in botched back alley abortion after he shutdown Planned Parenthood and it came out that he, himself, had paid for several abortions to porn stars he raw dogged? Would Trump lose your support if he poo poo in your face? Not "on," "in." Would you still support Trump if he pushed you into oncoming traffic because he was in a rush to take a big McDonald's poo poo? And then just break out into mocking laughter every time, because nothing will stop them from being a born sucker.
