lil pissbitch posted:If you think this is what will take Trump down you're naive and you haven't been paying attention I'm intrigued by this comment, and I would very much like to hear more. Like you, I don't think this will amount to much; the Republicans and Wall Street now own the entire government, so who would "police the police," so to say. But do I sense that you imply that something else might be President PoopiePant's undoing? I would like very much to hear your opinion! Namaste! VITALIS

lil pissbitch posted:IF Trump makes it 4 years, and I mean 'if' harder than I've ever meant 'if' in my entire life, he won't be able to get out fast enough. He will of course make up an excuse for not running, but there's no way he does it for another 4 years if he makes it the first 4 Ah, don't mess with the mods my friend. They can and will do unspeakable things. Namaste.

Lumpy the Cook posted:War between the US and Russia is something that's been in the works for years now because every time a nation plans to break away from the US dollar, they are targeted and eliminated- Saddam's and Gaddafi's administrations were working on abandoning the dollar and establishing new gold-backed currency for the Middle East and Africa, respectively. Russia made their plans for economic independence clear a decade ago, possibly even starting up a new joint currency with China, and America has been mobilizing its population for war with them since. This is correct! There is a long history as well. When the USSR felt threatened by German fascism in the 1930's, they fully expected Western nations (like Great Britain, France, and the United States) to join them in opposition. They misread the Western nations, though, because financial powers in the U.S. and England actually supported the anti-socialism and anti-labor polices of Nazi fascism. The eventual alliance of the Soviet Union to western allies only happened when the fascist axis nations resulted in a genuine threat. Even after the U.S. joined the war against Germany, many American industrialists remained sympathetic to Hitler because he killed a bunch of socialists, Jews, and communists. The United States was always antagonistic toward Russia/USSR because the U.S. government/corporations feared the spread of socialism and labor strength. To this day, Russians still recall how Western nations abandoned them decades ago. Internationally, they have always felt "slighted" by the U.S. That's my interpretation, anyhoo. Namaste! --VITALIS

Poetic Justice posted:Thy did everything in their power to not let Trump win, including nonstop propaganda media polls but he won anyway. What those leaks reveal is that the very first step of this Russian narrative can't be trusted since it could have been a separate actor that did the hack, if there was even a hack at all. Perhaps it was Poland hoping to cause NATO to impose more restrictions against Russia. There is absolutely no way to tell who it was since these tools have been available to 3rd parties for some time. There are, of course, issues with the many meetings between President PoopiePants' surrogates and Russian officials that tend to lend credibility to the cyber-espionage allegations. You must admit, Poetic Justice, that it does paint a rather interesting picture of collusion (albeit with a somewhat wide brush!). From my perspective--and it is admittedly just another opinion--it does seem that President PoopiePants may be sufficiently narcissistic to have allowed himself to be "owned" by Russian business/government interests in exchange for winning the biggest beauty pageant of all--the American presidential election! Prorat posted:So the first federal election since THE election happened tonight. A republican won, sure it was a republican in KS replacing another but still... maybe instead of focusing on parroting the media's talking points maybe you libs should try and flip a seat. I mean it can't be that hard, BIG DUMB republicans have been flipping them for the last 6 years and TOTALLY STUPID Trump flipped a bunch of states. It can't be that hard with the democrat party is the enlightened intellectual superior party right? This comment interests me, Prorat, because it is very close to a discussion I had this morning with a person. She told me about the Kansas results, and she was apparently disappointed because media had hyped it as a close race. I told her that Democrats haven't won for years, and probably won't win for years, because the Democratic Party means nothing in these days. They have no identification, and their leadership is associated with fundraisers, banquets, and well-dressed people with big incomes and very clean hands. I personally believe that the Republican Party is a horrible conglomeration of Christians, greedy folks, fascists, bigots, fearful lurkers, unemployable cretins, and disabled overweight "small business" owners, so I would never vote for that particular party. But I don't personally believe the Democratic Party in general is an actual alternative. It may, in fact, all be a show to keep voters entertained and believing in "the system." LOVE, VITALIS

I'm uncertain if there's any value at all with currying favor with Democrats, though, since they are irrelevant and have no power since Clinton destroyed their organization.

Mnoba posted:if tree branch is code word for cock than me please Guess what, Mnoba? We had quite a storm last night a big branch in our maple tree broke, about twenty feet up or so! We didn't know it when it happened, and it only came to light when my wife went to get the mail--she heard an odd creaking sound. It didn't fall to the ground but remained partially attached and precariously perched in the crotch of another lower branch. We'll have to call a tree guy to come and cut it down before it falls on a car or something. That would be unfortunate! Anyway, your "tree branch" reference reminded me, and I thought I might share this tidbit of my life with you! LOVE, VITALIS

Knight posted:It's highly suspicious but getting into pre-crime territory to claim they're "terrorists". Nutjobs get caught with lots of ammunition and explosives on the regular. That they released one of them already is either a huge mistake or they have good reason to think it is just criminal possession and not plans for mass murder. For example: Quite honestly--as someone familiar with the rural Midwest--I think that as many as 5% of vehicles in that region are carrying ridiculous amounts of ammunition, armaments, and possibly explosives. It's a cultural thing, they treat weaponry in the exact same manner as fireworks. LOVE, VITALIS Vitalis Jackson fucked around with this message at 16:19 on May 26, 2017 |
