Thats changing a bit. In b/w you meet ghetsis in the first gym town, and in b/w2 its your rivals motivation. iirc XY also has you meet lysandre pretty early on. Havent played SuMo so i dunno

Lairon. And i like steel snake rayquaza. Sage also has obviously gen3/4 styling, going just by the shading. E: also surprisingly inspired ideas, I like the growmeo/tuliet duo. The thing about fairy is that enough previous pokemon fit that thematic mold for it to actually make sense. Which is also the case with Sound if it ever became an actual type. Now im trying to think of other common themes that can turn into new types.

Not particularly. The ability could be tied to lesser statted mon, and the move is essentially giving you the choice of risking the damage or giving your opponent a free turn.
