If the Browns don't resign Pryor that would send the absolute opposite message to a team trying to rebuild by keeping good players.

Why? This would make it likely they don't keep Pryor. Or I guess it's a replacement for Hawkins. Britt is a 500yd/year guy. They did draft 4 WRs last year too.

Not re-signing Pryor would be a huge error. He's a hometown hero sort of due to the OSU connections, and his emergence as a WR is 100% thanks to the Browns giving him a shot. Can't let him walk away.

He's extremely good but got hurt last year. Glad we're not letting him walk away like Mitchell Schwartz.

Maybe if the Browns sign Tretter they'll finally cut Cam Erving?

SO what is the Redskins' goal of trapping Cousins for a year before he runs away instead of trading him now and drafting a new starter? They won't win the Superbowl so what's the point?

The Texans should get Cutler because he'll probably win the Superbowl on that team.

Wow WTF Browns must be eating Brock's cash and trying to offload him somewhere else.

Brock is real sad crying into the dozens of millions of dollars and Superbowl ring he's earned as a backup and one year terrible starter.

I was really high on him too in that draft but he was never the roadgrader type in the NFL that he looked like he was going to be. He got hurt immediately and I guess never bounced back.

I didn't see it actually posted here, but the Browns did sign JC Tretter. So they signed the #2 rated FA Center and the top two FA guards (including extending Bitonio). Maybe they can package Osweiler and Cam Erving and pick up a 2019 7th rounder from someone. Grittybeard posted:I didn't realize this before looking it up--and it's based totally on stats and not how he looked on the field because I didn't watch the Browns much so take it with that caveat--but Cody Kessler in 8 starts compares at rate stats pretty well with Denver Brock, and was flat out much better than Houston Brock. Kessler actually played pretty well to my eye test but he just kept getting hurt. He legitimately looked good in his starts.

It's 1 year, 8 million for TP. Kenny Britt got 4 years 32.5 million. I guess we'll see if the savings work out in the Browns' favor.

Kessler played well enough to get a real chance to start. I don't think he's the future but he wasn't embarrassing and could certainly improve especially with a better line in front of him.Leperflesh posted:Is Kirk Cousins not an option for the Browns?
