If it were a physical thing floating behind your character you would move it downward to look up at the sky, but if you think more abstractly you press up because you want to look up. Yeah, my brain mostly seems to think of the stick as if it were attached to an actual camera on a tripod. So down tilts the camera up and left pans the camera right In third person games anyway. If it's first person then up and down stay reversed, but not left and right. I can adjust to whatever, but that's the most intuitive. Generally.

I just look at it and look at my memory of firing up the 2600 for the first time and being excited at how awesome Donkey Kong looked right there on my tv at and go  a little. I'm not sure why Horizon in particular is causing this reaction, it's not like i haven't been gaming on virtually every system/pc since i was a kid. Games are neat.

Saint's Row 3 had a demo that was just the character creator that you could then import into the game. I love character creation and will happily restart to tweak some minor thing as long as the game is enjoyable. Hell, I like trying to recreate the same character across multiple games given the opportunity.
