i played a TON of the alpha, i was hooked, pretty much only didn't play when the servers were having issues... which was often it's hella fun but there's a problem where everyone, including u, wants to play jason. so you play and play and you play all night and you never even got to be jason once! i don't want the counselor game to degenerate to a jason waiting room but i fear that may end up being a problem unless they address it. the counselor stuff is fine, but it does get stale when you just wanna chop some kids up for your momma

Yeah, friendly fire is the correct design decision imo. I'm concerned about deeper balancing issues, such as the woefully underdeveloped melee combat system. Combat stance was just... ugh, I'm not sure what they want the counselors to be able to actually do vs. Jason. Not much, which is how it should be, but then why is it even a thing. Shotgun to the face is the only attack with any real impact and all that does is buy the counselors a few seconds to run, pretty much most useful when he's exitcamping

There's a stark difference in tiers between pub games and goon premades. In pubbie games I wouldn't be surprised to see 2 in the lead, he has seven loving traps and pubs love getting trapped and dying. They almost never have the coordination and communication needed in order to kill Jason, and never try, so any health or stun penalties are pretty meaningless. I wouldn't think Savini is very high up there because relatively very few people backed it and odds are that any given hardcore "pro" probably doesn't even fuckin have the skin so he likely rolls with 9, 8, or 3

the Xbox One version is so bad that they continuously issue apologies to Xbox players, culminating in the recent "mea culpa" post from a few days ago. it makes no loving sense to me why they are having so much trouble, the thing's just a windows box with fixed hardware, they probably wrote it in C# to begin with what's the issue here folks not that the PC version is that much better, if you don't restart the client regularly that loving memory leak gets you every time, sucks when you're Jason

there were quite a few newbies this weekend who didn't know proper counselor play: sticking together very close, stunning him when he's grabbed someone, terrible cabin searching, not communicating part discovery, etc so it was pretty easy pickins for jasons, I think we got maybe one proper jason kill

Essential Perks Thick Skinned: Take less damage from all incoming attacks. the best perk in the game. completely necessary. it doesn't just apply to "attacks", it reduces the damage from climbing through broken windows, falling damage, trap damage, you name it. Medic: Get two uses from each Medical Spray. Also increases healing when using a Medical Spray. imo this is the second best perk in the game. the combination of Thick Skinned and Medic is unreal at keeping you alive. One spray is all you need for most matches to stay fresh, which is why I always find three immediately. the increased healing is irrelevant but i wouldn't use one with any amount of the % damage taken penalty, gently caress that Notes Marathon: Increases your total Stamina. obviously only worthwhile on the three high Stamina counselors: Nessa, Tiff, Buggs. Tho Buggzy should be kitted out for fighting so he probably doesn't have room for it Melee build: Heavy Hitter is pretty sick for stunning Jason, especially in combination with Swift Attacker. Stealth build: Homebody + Level Headed + Low Profile: if you crouch in a cabin you have a hilariously high chance to dodge Sense entirely, like you don't show up on that usage. Best on AJ so she can go fix the power box when he breaks it. darkness will kill you Grease Monkey would be pretty loving good if it worked. My Dad's A Cop is less good in goon games because Jason tends to massively trap the phone box in our meta. most of the other perks suck but there are some traps that need to be mentioned Firecracker/Hypochondriac/Preparedness/Psychic/Slugger are not good. Crackers aren't even good, like I want to carry one in my ideal setup but Jason can just blockwalk right through them, the best usage is to throw them right before he grabs you and hope they stun him then. There's a medical spray in literally every large cabin and usually one in a deathtrap cabin, there's fucken two or three of them in the public bathroom. The more you play the game the less you need the map, especially when you learn where the map kiosks are. There are walkie-talkies loving e v e r y w h e r e and tbqh it's not that useful if we're using voice comms. those are arguable but what is inarguable is that the perks that make you complete actions faster will GLITCH YOU THE gently caress OUT. and not in a good way. Never use the perks that make you barricade, repair, or ESPECIALLY climb through windows faster or you will be in for a bad time. That window poo poo will ruin that match for you immediately, like you're hosed until it ends
