LA Noire is a good example of a game that had a lot of potential in its core gameplay but squandered it with bad writing, unnecessary open world nonsense and poorly done action, and a lack of focus on crafting interesting well put together mysteries for the player to solve. Hitman getting shitcanned is a tragedy and I'm more surprised than ever that Nier even got made. I'd rather have a dozen more Hitman seasons than a single Final Fantasy.

Squeenix doesn't seem to know what the gently caress they are doing with anything not named Final Fantasy so I have to wonder how hosed up the Avengers game will be. The Spider-Man game has at least some pedigree behind it with Insomniac and Sony footing the development.

Maybe I'm getting too impatient as I get older or my lack of experience from previous games was preventing me from figuring out a quicker way, but I don't like spending 10 minutes slowly slipping through patrols just to get inside the gate.
