Going back to the 60s and 70s is is scary to read about how many awful things the government did to squash dissent among the free press and the general population at large during the Vietnam War. That is an example of an administration competently waging war against its own citizens with the FBI. Oh and meanwhile Nixon just started carpet bombing Cambodia whoops.
