I wouldn't normally cross post from Reddit, but I thought some of you might genuinely appreciate this:quote:Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? No Tory landslide? An escape from austerity? (Worth playing as you read: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJ9rUzIMcZQ)

I still dont understand how Rudd "won". when the other person had more votes and why she was allowed to keep demanding recounts until the moe fell in her favour or why they then stopped the recounts Didnt they have to recount like seven times before they got it "right" and found her to be the winner?

vodkat posted:300 votes is well within the margin of error for humans counting thousands of bits of paper by hand. When its tight you ask for a recount and everyone counts again to make sure everything is super correct and that made a few simple mistakes. This is how things should be done. Don't be a dumb idiot about this. One recount, sure. Multiple recounts seems a lot less justifiable. Are your vote counters simultaneously so bad that they gently caress up the first recount and yet so good they arent just as likely to gently caress up a second? Two is definitely a lot better than the mistreported seven I had originally heard though. Especially if its one per candidate which would make sense if that was the case. Lovely Joe Stalin posted:Buy a free-standing unit for about £80, run the vent out of your window and a short length of hose into a bucket for the by-product water. You can get them with an internal tank, but then you're looking at moving a very heavy large thing around when it comes time to empty that tank. Are you not allowed to just run the hose outside too instead of using a bucket. That's what I do, seems a lot easier.

Concerts and festivals are alright and all but nothing is as great as a floor show.

Nah, its when there is no stage and the audience and band both are on the same floor, usually with the musicians interacting with and mingling directly with the audience during their set.

Tijuana Bibliophile posted:Technology doesn't produce resources, resources get, like, used up. Stuff like water, energy, that kind of thing I just want to say I appreciate you using two of the very few examples of resources that can't actually be used up. It may make the intended irony a bit blunt, but I laughed.

Covering the Sahara with solar panels would kill the South American rainforests. Just a head up there. Kind of funny
