GEORGE W BUSHI posted:Kenta Kobashi good. Can't imagine the politicking leading up to this one. Probably the most predictable time limit draw in history but should be a good one nevertheless. This seems like as good a time to ask as any. How in the name of gently caress are you meant to pronounce SEAdLINNNG anyway? I've seen it written about and always wondered about that.

I know the square root of gently caress all about Stardom, but if you're Bushiroad it seems like a no-brainer? The biggest building they run regularly seems to be Korakuen, and they are doing well if they break 1,000 fans. So you put on a match at Wrestle Kingdom & it's going to have a lot of eyes on it live and a lot of eyes on it at home on World (I suppose it won't be shown on World Pro Wrestling what with the different TV deals) which increases the chances of drawing new people to shows. I get why people would be sceptical of it but with 2 shows in 2 days they can absolutely carve out 20-25 minutes (including entrances etc) for a match to show off what Stardom offers. I'm just not seeing a downside from Bushiroad's perspective.

When I logged on this morning & saw this thread had so many new posts over night my heart sank, but actually seeing the news and it physically felt like my stomach dropped. She was a charismatic, talented young woman. Whole life in front of her, not just in wrestling but life in general. It shouldn't happen. It happened because people are loving vile & social media enables it. Reach out to your friends & family. Let them know they are loved. That they aren't alone in this horribly cruel world.

I think that's why I've just felt horrendously hollow all day. Every single thing I've seen from wrestlers & fans who'd interacted with Hana just made her seem like an incredibly nice young woman. Had her whole life in front of her and she's been robbed of it and it's absolutely horrendous to think about. I think at some point as a society we need to look at the harm that reality TV has on its "stars". Hana is sadly far from the first to have killed themselves after being in a reality show. There was an article last year in a UK paper that there'd been at least 38 reality show contestants/stars around the globe who've killed themselves in the last 15 or so years. It shouldn't happen. At the bare minimum there should be much more mental health support for the people involved.

From the hardcam it looks like its inside some sort of warehouse, but from other angles you can see it's more like a stage, with the crowd on the hardcam side so you can't see them. It's a unique venue. They are also apparently doing another show in November, hopefully this is positive thing for Joshi in general.

I'm watching the SEAdLINNNG show from earlier this month with Yoshiko defending against Aja Kong and Best Friends vs Yuu and Ayame Sasamura. For some reason they turned down the audience and in ring volume relative to the commentators in the picture and picture and it really detracts from this. Could swear this isn't normal for NicoNico
