That night we performed the rite and opened the gate.
Halfway through, I went to fix us both a coke float.
By the time I got back, he'd gone insane.
Plus, he'd left the gate open and there was evil everywhere.

Netflix is moving away from being a service that shows other people stuff to just being HBO Lite.

I am looking at places that are about 2x my income because I feel over exposed if it is too much more than that.

Housing in England generally isn't that old. Lots of Victorian period onward housing but the old stuff was torn down and replaced with brick built homes over the last 200 years. House I grew up in was 1920s along with an entire estate of the same houses built for the staff of an aircraft factory.

Mmm, a lot of stuff is post-WW2, thanks partly to :hitler:.

American house construction is still very strange to me in many places, timber framing is very uncommon here. It seems very cheap and lacking durability, though I appreciate a lot of it isn't necessarily the cheapest-possible method used in the average a McMansion.

There is a lot of post WW2 stuff but also not everyone is living in a thatched cottage. As for wood frames it is becoming more popular with new builds where they throw the frame up and just have a brick facade. A few new build places I rented in the past were like it and crap in comparison to something brick all the way through.

Top up the fluids and throw some saw dust in it like my old scum uncle used to. Note I have no idea if this works.

Sooo, holy gently caress someone talk to me about huge old Mopars.
I've contracted some kind of brain parasite where I've had 1969-1972 "Fuselage-body" fullsize Mopars on on my mind some time ago. It popped up again seeing the old Newport in Missouri in the truck thread, so I've been occasionally searching Craigslist for one. I have a thing for fullsize musclecar-era cars, and my dad is a huge Impala SS fan (has something like a dozen convertibles), so I grew up around reasonably large cars. I currently DD a Fiero and an e30, so owning a car which is nearly twice the weight of either of those and feet larger in every dimension entertains me. Also the engine is more displacement than both of those put together, and it's not close.

There's a 1970 Chrysler 300 hardtop for sale in Seattle that's calling to me. I'm in Portland, and I don't have a place to put it (questionable if it'd fit into my apartment garage), and the ad doesn't say if it's even registered or not.

Beyond DO IT AND POST A THREAD, someone talk to me about this.

Go look up the Roadkill episodes they do big mopars, also the Hot Rod Garage where they drop a stroked 440 into Fury III Wagon.

On another subject both my wife and I want to take a vacation but cant decide between Hawaii and Costa Rica. Normally I would be all about Costa Rica but the risk of zika has my wife really worried. Whats the real risk of contracting it? And whats fun to do/where to go in either place? I want to do beach stuff and get a sailfish or tuna charter. My wife likes nature stuff. I think we can reasonably afford $5-6k for the week, airfare excluded from the total.

Is there a thread somewhere else for this?

Take a look at New Zealand, remember that the seasons are flipped so book in the winter here.

New zealand is awesome for hiking and outdoor activities. It's pretty expensive and I'd imagine living there would get boring after a while but it's still really cool

My wife lived there for 6 months during undergrad and she says exactly that. Was great at first but got very dull and isolated. My best memory of New Zealand is walking along a beach one morning while a pod of Orcas played just out of the shallows.

The wife and I are currently looking at buying a house. I went and got some pre approvals on amounts and it turns out that I have to buy the house rather than we. Simply because of her student debt makes it almost impossible to borrow enough. So the dirty unamerican here to take all the jerbs can buy a house while a natural born citizen cannot. It is not going to be paid off until forgiveness kicks in by which time she would be in her early 50s by which time it is too late to buy. So how is housing not screwed long term again?

Real cod is great but there are issues with the stocks of it so most of the time you get haddock.

Ebay has been poo poo for a long time. Especially when it changed from being an online auction site to being a marketplace for people to sell market stall poo poo at prices higher than supermarkets.
