what i suspect happened is that he left the chicken in the toilet and forgot it and they continued to use the toilet as normal for days. the girlfriend was noticing that the toilet was not as efficient at removing waste and mentioned this to boyfriend. he, suddenly and shamefully remembering the forgotten chicken, just claims it is probably her unhealthy diet causing larger and denser stools that is causing the toilet to struggle.

he continues to gas light her about it for weeks until she goes into a depression and goes into the bathroom to hang herself. as she is hanging the noose she slips on the porcelain and smacks her head on the toilet and has a premonition about a device that would enable a person to travel backwards through time. before she can scribble down the details she notices something in the remains of the broken toilet - the now rotten forgotten upper decker chicken - and has a realization...

...turns out she WASNT eating too much pf changs!
