Yeah there's friendly fire. I had to restart a challenge when Mario managed to nail Luigi in the crossfire of killing 3 smashers

I'm actually not that much a fan of Rabbid Peach. healing 40ish doesn't do much when I could have Rabbid Luigi dashing for 50 a pop with vamp and stoning an enemy

Yeah my only complaint so far is not being able to toggle aiming at debris intentionally [I guess that makes some characters more inherently useful?] and the one Rabbid Rule.

Peach and Luigi make for an amazing combo if I could ever use them in tandem.
also does challenge coins get lower on each completion? because the moment i find one with fast clear im gonna farm it for days

The One Rabbid-rule is most likely because a lot of cutscenes depends on having at least one of them in your party.

Honestly surprised with how fun this game is so far.

It could just shove them in like it did after Rabbid Kong and you saw Luigi pestering Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Luigi

Gotta say I like how they made every character useful. I'm always switching out characters for certain maps and it's still good.

I think my least used character so far is Rabbid Peach and I haven't even unlocked the Yoshi duo

I seem to be able to get the highest primary and secondary on each character and I'm still sitting at like 7k in world 3.

world 3 boss wasn't so bad once I got the hang of it. I wouldn't suggest doing it with Rabbid Luigi + Yoshi though.

E: Rabbid Yoshi was probably fine for his movespeed, but I'd have swapped Rabbid Luigi for Rabbid Mario or maybe Peach for frequent heals.

In the end I got a perfect because the AI for some reason didn't pick off the 16 life guy and instead went for someone else.

Chain Chomps move 3 or 4 tiles I forget, and it's easy to manipulate them because they're a 3x3 tile body so they can't move in tight spaces.

Am I the only one completely unable to beat 3-1? The ink status effects are brutal, and you can't ever move without someone taking a shot at you. Closet I've got was 2 left with just Luigi hiding out of range in a corner.

I guess I should try this respec'ing business.

Cleansing Jump will save your life.

Also don't be afraid to respec skills or just have the game do it for you [I just let it fo it for me now that i have several hundred points and I can't be bothered now.]

I will say that ignoring the autospec to make sure Mario and Luigi have 2x-3x overwatch shots is preferable.

E: as much as the rabbids are so similar to minions i gotta say that the rabbids have a lot of charm in them that makes me like them so much, maybe it's because they all seem to have varying personalities now instead of when they first came out and just screamed with some punchline.

Folt The Bolt posted:

I'm rather partial to Stone and Vampiric as the best effects, with Ink being solid third best (as disabling an enemy's standard attack options is incredibly powerful). While Honey can't activate Overwatches like Bounce can, I find it's effect of disabling movement more useful than potentially adding some extra damage by bouncing/pushing enemies out of bound if I'm lucky and the enemy's positioned right. I personally think Bounce is better than Push, though both kinda do the same thing in the end, are both rather situational effects, and I think the enemy makes better use of them than you do. That said, I find both better in the hands of the player than the Fire and Freeze effects which are both extremely situational and considerably more useful in the hands of the enemy, though I'm unsure which of those is actually the worst status effect in the game.

If I remember right:

Mario: Bounce and Honey
Rabbid Peach: Honey and Push
Rabbid Luigi: Fire, Push, Stone, and Vampiric
Luigi: Ink and Bounce
Rabbid Mario: Stone and Vampiric
Peach: Fire and Freeze
Rabbid Yoshi: Push and Stone
Yoshi: Unsure about his effects

Vamp is a good effect, but it's usually meaningless a lot of the times because enemies die really quickly. Rabbid Luigi's Vamp dash is a good way to heal friends though.

This is why I ultimately went with vamp over stone for anyone that had both options; i found i was just killing baddies anyways rather than leaving any stoned for a turn so at least I got a heal out of it.

Edit: do perfect scores in battle give more orbs or do they just change how many coins you get?

I prefer stone a lot because it means an immediate threat can be ignored for a turn while I focus on something else [another potential threat, boss, or smaller enemy cleanup]

i think beepo is a jerk to draw some of the ire away from the rabbid characters.

Just got Rabbid Mario unlocked and that is the moment the game went from 'good' to 'great'. The first 4 characters play fairly similarly, but he's a total gamechanger, with vamp + explosion effects on everything. To say nothing of the shotgun.

I thought Beepo WAS a rabbid, due to the ears and the buck teeth LED lights in front of it.

I've seen at least one run-through that set it up such that as the phase changed, Overwatches were active, thus dealing significant damage to the new phase before any defences or such were fully in place.

That happened on my first try. Final phase had half it's HP chunked before it landed, Unfortunately I didn't know what that phase did and got a person murdered because I didn't think Rabbid Peach would lose 250 HP on a turn.

So after Ultimate challenges there is nothing to do correct? Also I figured they would reward power orbs since the rabbid's bag loving has them in it.

I decided to not use the washing machine to perfect some stages since as far as I know it doesn't do anything at all and I don't feel like redoing 6 stages.

I 100% enjoyed this game but I wish there was more QoL stuff in it like goal checking for challenges, quicker team/weapon/orb selection, the ability to remove orb skills instead of having to undo everything if a mistake is made, more characters/rabbids, online as well.

On the other hand the challenges are so loving cool and creative. The one in world 3 where you gotta use the tornados to reach the goals was 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Also the one in world 4 where you gotta escort Toadette was tough!

It's good to use him to pace the other characters for team jump attacks, but yeah his movespeed is bad.
