If they're worried about diluting their brand they could just do what Fender does and have, y'know, other brands. According to Wikipedia their only instrument-building subsidiaries besides Epiphone are Kramer and Steinberger, neither of which are doing jack or poo poo ATM as far as I can tell.

They tried selling them direct through musicyo.com which no longer exists.
I had bought a Kramer Vanguard(Rhodes style V) through them it had the quad humbuckers which were pretty stupid looking back on them.
I ended up selling it to guitar center for more than I bought it for because the guy thought it was "cool".

That thing was built from scratch by a guy over at the tdpri forums.

It's a pretty nice build just an unfortunate shape.
This is coming from someone who owns a warlock guitar and bass.

They used to make one called the gunslinger which was just a super strat.
They also made an eagle model that looked kinda like a melted strat.
Mockingbirds are cool too.

That and all the dang mom-and-pop music stores next door to porn stores. Maybe I'm naive, but the two local music shops in my town are next to a garden shop and a home improvement store? Music stores should be comfortable and friendly, like Wal-Mart? Henry, lift your left hand and say a simple sentence, please tell us if you smell burnt toast

One of the only good guitar stores in the town I grew up in wasn't exactly next door to a porn store but there was one right around the corner from it.

They also made an aluminum bodied guitar.
I always meant to get one. They were mighty tempting when they were being blown out at clearance prices.

Oh I forgot I have a Digitech GSP-21 Pro.
It's a rack mount multi effects unit. You'd think that would make it sound better.
Nope.
It's hissy, the back up battery died so you can't save any presets.
I had the foot controller for it as well.
It had a pretty long delay time. That's what I used it for most. It would get like a bitcrusher effect on samples from adjusting the delay time.

You're basically buying it for the body alone at this point. If I had a bunch of disposable income I'd get it and one of the bolt on necks the Electrical Guitar Company guy makes.

On occasion he'll do a run of bolt on necks that are offered for sale as replacements for various fender etc... necks.

They used to make that chrome version of the JS model. I wonder how they have aged?
They were made of luthite if I remember right, along with the ergodyne basses.

My stupid RAT thing is years ago I bought an R2DU off of ebay for super cheap. For those who don't know it's a 1 space rack unit with 2 RAT circuits in it and a remote footswitch. Totally over kill for such a small simple circuit.
The nice thing is it has separate ins/outs for each side so I can run one pre everything and one post everything or just chain them both together :black101:

Floyd Rose style bridges are "double locking" as in they lock the string in the bridge and at the headstock via a locking nut.
This is supposed to increase tuning stability.

It might be common. My American std Strat with maple neck was the same way. Most of the frets were sanded down, but the parts that weren't had the lacquer on them still. No cracking noises or anything, just some crumble on the tops of the frets of the excess. As I did string bends it all got wiped away.

It's the traditonal way Fender builds them. The used to use pennies with a notch filed into them to clean the top of the fret off.
