I nearly walked face-first into a sloth once. I can't remember which zoo it was in, but it was one where there was a rainforest environment enclosure where you got to walk of a raised platform through the exhibit, and there was a sloth just napping on a high ledge right beside the path, with one of its arms just dangling out across the way It smelled quite strongly but it was a good, forest-y sort of smell - very mossy as I remember.
