Rand alPaul posted:JFK was a bad president. He got nothing through Congress, his cabinet was full of Harvard shitheads that talked down to people, and he spent 95% of his time loving women besides his wife. He took the virginity of WH interns fresh out of high school, some in threesomes, and hosed Marilyn Monroe. He even hosed a KGB agent in a brothel. He did all of this while hooked on a mix of stimulants that would kill a race horse. Cuban missile crisis was JFK's fault he would have being thought of as an awful president if he wasn't shot

He is gonna die soon and identifying himself with an unspoken successor would do wonders for keeping the American left (somewhat) united. idk about that I mean maybe not healthy enough for active politics but people live a long time nowadays wouldn't be surprised if he lasts another 15 years

The Kingfish posted:Warren is basically just a typical dem when it comes to foreign policy right? I mean, I'd settle for her. But I'd choose an untested young socialist over her in the primary. literally any American president is gonna run pretty much the same foreign policy with a +/- 5% difference president bernie would still be droning people it's because the consequences of not droning people is too high for domestic politics: if there's a terrorist attack it's way too easy for the opposition to blame you for not droning enough browns and that resonates with the American public. So droning is just the default.

also let's face it neither E.Warren nor Bernie (heart attack) is gonna win the primaries it's gonna be someone who can package bernie/warren's ideas together with some idpol poo poo but is younger than bernie and has more charisma than warren so yeah it's gonna be pamela harris or someone like her

get that OUT of my face posted:is she still anti-marijuana like she was when she was running for attorney general? she managed to be more against it than her republican challenger. booker is the chief sponsor of a "legalize weed and give restorative justice to war on drugs victims" bill in the senate, so it'd be nice if she hopped on there gillibrand is basically the sort of political chameleon who is ultimately gonna benefit from bernie's 2016 campaign which isn't necessarily bad, even FDR was a political chameleon when he got elected
