China's response to US sanctions: They're putting sanctions on 128 imports from the U.S., including pork and fruit. As these tariffs are explicitly a countermeasure to the steel/aluminum tariffs (not the $50 billion from a couple weeks back), the trade war is both officially on and only getting started. Meanwhile, White House officials "have routinely discounted the likelihood" of the Chinese simply buying stuff from places besides America. Edit: VVVVV
