The court room scene in GB 2 Winston is there before the trial starts, and then he just disappears for the rest of it.

Winston was a cool dude and should have gotten more time in the sequel.

Him at the beginning is awesome. "I've got to get my own lawyer." But yeah, he should have shown up when the trying to take down the ghost brothers.

Then what did he say in the court room when they were about to go on trial?

I enjoyed it. Then again, my expectations were different, because I couldn't stand Wiig or McCarthy until GB '16. It was the first performances of theirs that I actually liked.

I remember having a late-era VHS copy of GB1 where the panning back and forth was so unnaturally smooth that it was distracting and made it almost unwatchable, like that motion smoothing feature on newer TVs.

I had that version. Holy hell, it was awful.

Speaking of scares, I always had to look away at the zombie cap driver. Freaked me out.

The Boogeyman from the Real Ghostbusters was scarier than anything in GB2.

Also, that one ghost that had a second mouth in its stomach that ate other ghosts.

Well it's definitely a comedy, but all the stuff is in-world funny happenings. There's no out of character jokes. The world takes itself seriously. Compare it to something like Anchorman. Its a different kind of comedy.

Not really. Take the scene where Louis is attacked. Everybody in the restaurant watches it goes down, then goes about their business. That in itself is an old joke ("New Yorkers are blasé about anything weird"), but it's definitely not a world that takes itself seriously.

For years the best way to watch Ghostbusters was a VHS tape hooked to a 27 inch tv with RCA cables. I wonder if that little shocked sigh would even be noticeable. He barely even moves. It’s obvious now on my phone but I’m guessing in the late 80s when we will were all watching it analog he would look like he was just staring at the car the whole time.

Nah, I noticed it when I saw it theaters (And originally at a drive-in!), in 84.

Right? I had a dream not too long ago that was pretty much just the episode 'When Halloween Was Forever' which was a big deal at the time, airing in prime time and everything as a Halloween special alongside like Charlie Brown and Garfield.

I miss those days; it was exciting as a kid to watch a cartoon, on prime time, on a school night.

Yea assuming this is true and considering they had already drastically reduced Winston’s part from when he was an Air Force major, it seems like after they couldn’t get (or couldn’t afford?) Eddie Murphy they just…didn’t know what to do with him and kept him as just a nebulous fourth guy.

I wouldn't be surprised if their idea was "We'll get Eddie Murphy, then instead of writing a bunch of stuff for him, just have him improv his stuff during scenes, and we'll keep what works."

And then when they could get him, they hired a more classical actor, who then didn't have much to do in the script.

Just a heads up, Spirits Unleashed is fantastic. There are visual options for every single GB era, and oh my god, I can use the RGB gear, which is what Kenner had based their toys on. Like my blue GB trap is in my sons room right now, and I can also use it in the game.

If you're a fan like I'm sure we all are, don't sleep on this.

The busting is more fun than the 2009 game (and I loved it then), there are customization options out the rear end (someone made Mcready from The Thing), you get to explore the entire firehouse, and playing as the ghost is like a way better version of Haunting Starring Polterguy.

Is there a single player option?
