The catharsis of defeating frustration through virtual violence is pretty good!

It's weird doing that in a non-virtual environment, isn't it? :hfive:

I put together a new chair and desk a month ago, but it was a bit less satisfying as neither of the packages included an allen wrench and being an idiot, I didn't have one readily available.

Still, I can't argue with the end result of additional comfort and a better desk.

Command & Conquer had a GDI disc and a NOD disc.

Come to think of it, disc swapping was good for narrative and referential purposes now that people mention it. As well as campaigns for things like the aforementioned.

That would actually be somewhat horrible as you only have access to two floors, a team room, and your personal room when not committing genocide on multiple planets.

City of Heroes had that neat sidekick/exemplar system that gave out rewards and the like. Sidekick was especially good, since it artificially leveled the new player to one level below the mentor, but still gave them experience as if they were leveling normally.

There was a leash range for the effect. So you could potentially just run out of range and get one shotted if you were overeager.
