Yeah, after looking at all the games with 20+ point spreads (a lot of 2007 Pats games and other stuff like that), I could easily see this line moving to 20. The Cardinals are exactly as bad as a lot of those teams were expected to be.

I remember the Pats covering like the first 7 games of 2007, and this is with the homer money inflating the vegas spread. I made crazy money that year.

Do you think Bradford will willingly sign anywhere? He's probably happy just spending his ridiculous amount of money.

Just watched the Bills/Bears game and Peterman did not play nearly as bad as people are making out. Yeah he sucked, but in the way that any mediocre QB on a team with absolute nothing around him would suck. On a third of his dropbacks there was a jailbreak by the defense. McCoy was constantly swallowed up, and the receivers all suck. I would also absolve him of blame on all three of his interceptions. The first two were deflected by the receiver, and the final one was a very low pass to Fat rear end that he hardly bothered to try for but the DB went down and nabbed right off the turf.

Counter-point: Peterman's passer rating has gone DOWN since 2017.

Just LOL @ giving him any snaps for any reason at all.

Surgeries get expensive, even if he were above the average football player's IQ I'd be surprised if he's still got more than half of that ungodly amount of total money he's made over his career saved

Just take guys from the stands for the rest of the season, and make things interesting. Hold open tryouts on Fridays before home games or something. Like how many weeks do you think it takes to find someone miles better than Peterman?

It's amazing clicking around on Overthecap to see all the actually-productive QBs Bradford has out-earned over time. In some cases, by a shitload. A few random examples: Cam Newton, Jay Cutler, Andy Dalton, Tony Romo. He was blowing away Alex Smith before Washington gave him a new megadeal.

Reid's track record with grooming QBs from Favre to McNabb to Vick to Smith and now Mahomes is super impressive.

just wanted to come back to this - I fully agree it's super impressive, and Andy is actually the QB whisperer so many OCs are claimed to be, but he definitely had some big misses in his time. Mike McMahon, Kevin Kolb, arguably Nick Foles (he never played particularly well under Andy). so while what's happened with Mahomes isn't surprising, it was far from a sure thing.

(I'd also add AJ Feely to the list of Reid successes, even though he was only ever decent on the Eagles or playing the Pats)

Yeah, it was my last gasp of hope for him. He just isnt good enough unless everything is going well around him. But if the OL has trouble/the opponent has a good pass rush, the defense stinks it up, the running game doesnt exist, or a receiver drops a pass, everything just seems to go to poo poo for him.

I'm also disappointed that their only Primetime game has been taken away (Thursday against the Titans doesnt count).
