My hot take is if a team beats the dogshit out of a team with the same record, they shouldn't get a higher draft pick.

I'm glad the Raiders will draft Kyler Murray, trade their high second rounder for AB, sign Le'Veon and use the other two picks on edge defenders

Carr had an MVP caliber year in 2016, got hurt in 2017 and took nearly 60 sacks in 2018 while getting used to Grudens system and the worlds loving worst defense. Grabbing a QB instead of a blue chip defender would be monumentally stupid

El Gallinero Gros posted:Raider fans what are you hoping for? 3 1sts is nice, but I imagine you're nervous about dumb poo poo happening... I think the ideal Raiders draft (pending a trade for Antonio Brown ofc) is a QB going in the top 3, grabbing Josh Allen at 4 and hoping some talent falls to 24/27. Maybe Ferrell or Gary fall. Maybe one of the Iowa tight ends could fit there, or a wide reciever if we don't end up with AB. Realistically there are holes everywhere but like, Center so BPA works great for 24/27

I've seen lots of mocks have the Dolphins trading up with the Raiders for Haskins/Murray if he falls I think this only happens if the first three picks are Bosa/Allen/Williams though

I saw a good breakdown of his skillset that basically said as long as he runs the same limited route trees that Demaryius, Gordon, and Calvin Johnson mostly run then he can be very, very effective. Metcalf in the court of public draft opinion has gone from 2nd round to top 5 to nigh undraftable back around to middle first round
