Long Beach, Detroit, Toronto, St Pete and even some of the defunct tracks like Vancouver, Houston etc to me just scream AOWR

The IMS road course adds nothing and at this point it feels like a painful roval race.

I understand the history behind Miwaukee, but good riddance - I never enjoyed a single race I watched from there.

I'm thrilled to have Portland and Gateway back, and i'd love to see another race in Canada, even Edmonton back on the calender.

I kinda want her to get another shot at Indy, because last year you could see how much she really cared about missing the field and what it meant to her. I would fear the same result, though.

Prior to 2012, they covered IndyCar for what it was, they had their own studio, usually with Huewen and a guest, sometimes Darren Manning or Jonny Mowlem. I think the big fear now,
is its specifically on SkySportF1, and its going to be :words:

Their coverage of NASCAR was hilariously bad, and they got eaten alive for it.

I've been trying to track down whomever was covering Cup in 08 in the UK.

There's a special that was done called "NASCAR: WHAT'S THE HYPE" or something to that effect. It's the most surreal thing as it shows Cup probably at it's most commercially viable and shows ex-f1, indy guys were all over there at the time.

They interview Dario and he has this stare that says "I think I made a big mistake". They also show him being introduced at Daytona and the only cheers come from the two brits who were sent to cover it.

If anyone has that? Please by all means post it here.

I have *some* of Sky Sports 2008 coverage recorded and I just checked the Shootout and 500 coverage, nothing like that jumps out but as I'm adding races I'll keep an eye out. I know there was a point
I stopped recording them and just downloaded the full US coverage because the Sky coverage was so cringe-inducingly bad

Mondello Park in BTCC was one of the worst circuits I had ever seen too. To be fair I think it was literally the only race track in Ireland because the Irish are insane people who like public road races on motorcycles.

Mondello was originally a 1.6 mile track that was given a grant to get to some lovely FIA grading and the only land available was what they crammed in the current lovely layout. It's a club circuit that had big aspirations.

It probably took a whole month back in the day to build up speed, both for the car and driver. Whereas now it's off the hauler and 225+. Must have been quite a terrifying month back in the day.
