Well ultimately I decided I was being a dumbass and voted for a non-rear end in a top hat party and a candidate I apparently mostly agreed with so all is well, important lessons in functioning democracy were learned and seriously I will not stop laughing if this country fucks this up yet again

Giving Kepu maakunnat is a loving terrible idea. All it does is ensure they'll be in power at the local level throughout the country outside of Helsinki for all eternity. Sote failing and taking maakunnat with it was one of the best things that could happen, since it erased Kepu's whole power grab in one go. Also Rinne would never do actual socialism under any circumstances. None of the major parties would.

I have less of a problem with teekkarit (although they suck) and more with literally every other group of university students deciding they want to get drunk in public for a week in row too. I'm a student too and I'm not drunk right now and haven't been for a while (because I'm poor) so I'm allowed to complain about other people's life choices Also the past week has been full of drunk student groups on bicycles almost crashing into me or blocking the road so I'm just tired of dealing with it. Being loud and obnoxious is one thing, actively annoying other people on the roads is another. In general every student organized thing has to be oriented around drinking which has kind of gotten stale after a couple of years too so in a way I guess I don't see the point of setting aside a whole week just for it. I'm probably just old and bitter
