my reaction times are still pretty solid but my ability to track targets in overwatch has reached doodoo toilet levels compared to what teenage me could pull off in counterstrike and such. i think you're right that it's partially because big budget twitch based shooters are hard to find and i'm playing them less and less these days and i'm absolutely out of practice though. also hello february thread i just have to stay alive for two more months and sekiro will be out

edf's always been a game series on the fringe of my perception. it's kind of like a goofy pve third person shooter along the lines of a just cause 2 or perhaps an attenuated saints row?

i posted this in the sekiro thread proper but it's pretty quiet over there since the game isn't out yet, i actually went through and watched all the video content game informer threw up over the past month about the game and it's looking much more ninja gaiden-y than i expected but was definitely hoping for, so even more hyped now.

mostly. the gameplay has never been anything but above average at best. the writing was never particularly spectacular either but the fans went nuts over getting to mash their barbies together on dates for a while there.

well i played through the tutorial level of nioh and then the tutorial, which takes place after the tutorial level, for reasons? it's shaping up to be neat but i wish i knew/learned about all the technique stuff going through the rainy castle instead of in a weird sandbox after the fact.
