someone please tell me nate rob got paid more than this to get brain damaged and memed on for the rest of his existence

they likely negotiated points on the buyrate rather than a large purse, likely stand to make 7 figures or near it each

i think its both askren showed up for the pay day and got knocked thr hell out. askrens deal had points on the ppv numbers so its very likely he walks out of this with well over 7 figures.

I'm not a boxing fan but didn't fury get tooled there? Please explain the scoring for me

scoring is done in a round by round basis at the conclusion of each round. the winner of the round gets 10 points and the loser gets 9 points. if there is a knockdown the loser gets 8 points. if there are two knockdowns the loser gets 7 points. judges choose a winner based on an arbitrary estimation of punches landed, thrown, activity, etc.

STING 64

the result isnt as bad as it seems, i actually had scored it 94-95 for tyson fury myself.

my card is identical to garners except i had fury with round 1

STING 64

Yeah when Fury said Francis was an awkward boxer i wonder if the inexperience meant that his odd timing made it harder to gauge what speed and range his punches were going to come from

STING 64

please keep bang bang zhang away from ngannou for at least the first couple years i wanna see him have a chance to develop

The Ninth Layer posted:

I think Francis definitely benefited from fighting a not particularly hungry Tyson Fury already looking past him, but also he did look very good for a heavyweight, with enough foundational skills and certainly enough punching power to threaten other contenders. I don't know if I would pick him to beat Big Andy for example but I think the odds he could are high.

ruiz and zhang i think would be tougher matches for sure
